John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who was a specialist in folk music, touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a New Mexican born artist and songwriter who fell in love with Colorado. Denver's state anthems have inspired numerous people to go to Colorado. I don't think there's another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. In the year 2011, Denver was named the first Hall of Fame inductee. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado to the many people across the globe. Through my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell that you're from Colorado The first thing they'll say is Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 hits after performing with small folk bands. It was co-written and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff created the track along with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver was introduced to an earlier version it was clear that the song could be a hit single.
